The Garden of Fonte Baxa is an impressive place that was created in the 90s by José Rivera, a businessman from Castilla, and his wife Rosa María Pardo. This garden started as a small project around their house in Luarca, but over time it has become a garden of over 15 hectares with flora from the 5 continents and works of art from around the world. In addition, the garden has benches and viewpoints where the couple spent long hours contemplating the Cantabrian Sea and the town of Luarca. This garden stands out for its unique trees, which were recovered from different places in the world and brought to this corner of Asturias to give them a second life in the wonderful and fertile Asturian land.
The Garden of Fonte Baxa is an impressive garden divided into two parts, connected by bridges, full of paths that lead to discovering a wonderful variety of trees, flowers, art, and viewpoints with views of the Cantabrian Sea and the town of Luarca, possibly making it the most important gardening work of the 20th century in Spain and one of the largest gardens in Europe. Welcome to the Garden of Fonte Baxa!
